A discovery call for a functional medical practice is an initial conversation between a potential patient and the practice's representative or practitioner. The purpose of the call is to determine if the patient and the practice are a good fit for each other.

During the discovery call, the practitioner or representative will typically ask the patient a series of questions to gather information about their health concerns, medical history, current symptoms, and goals. They may inquire about the patient's lifestyle, including their diet, exercise routine, stress levels, sleep patterns, and any previous treatments or medications they have tried.

The practitioner will also explain the principles and approach of the Holistic/integrative medical practice, which focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of health issues rather than just treating symptoms. They may describe how Holistic/Integrative medicine takes into account the interconnectedness of various body systems and the importance of lifestyle factors in maintaining optimal health.

The patient will have the opportunity to ask questions about the practice, the practitioner's qualifications and experience, the treatment modalities used, and the expected outcomes. They may inquire about the practice's philosophy, approach to patient care, and the level of support provided throughout the treatment process.

By the end of the discovery call, both the patient and the practitioner should have a better understanding of whether they are a good fit for each other. The patient can assess if the practice aligns with their needs, goals, and values, while the practitioner can determine if they have the expertise and resources to effectively address the patient's health concerns.

If the patient and the practice are a good fit, they can proceed with scheduling an initial consultation or further appointments to begin the treatment process. If not, the practitioner may provide recommendations for other healthcare providers or practices that may be better suited to the patient's needs.

Overall, a discovery call for a functional medical practice serves as an important step in ensuring that both the patient and the practice are aligned in their approach to healthcare and can work together towards achieving optimal health and well-being.
